Government incentives Brazil and private Accelerators are approaching the startups that country with the rest of the world.

The Start-Up Brazil Program is an initiative of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of that country and managed by Softex, a partnership for the promotion of software, in conjunction with private accelerators.

Start-Up Brazil emerged in 2012 as a series of initiatives promoted by the IT Major Program, a public policy designed to foster new and innovative software and hardware and development services in the country.

With the conviction that startup companies play a key role in improving the Brazilian entrepreneurial ecosystem and its economy, and after encouraging more than 9,100 entrepreneurs in proposing innovative businesses, Start-Up Brazil today supports 183 startups .

The program works in partnership with a network of 17 accelerators, which also support new companies. Through its annual editions, publicly called the accelerators and startups.

Money for new ventures

In a first phase, the accelerators are evaluated; Then national and international startups are selected and supported by the program (up to 25% of the points can be filled by new international companies). The acceleration arrives in the last phase, after a period of 12 months the companies have access to about R $ 200K (US $ 50K) for the research and development of the projects.
The companies also participate in a series of events and activities promoted by the Program to train entrepreneurs and present them to potential clients and investors in Brazil, as well as Silicon Valley, New York and Singapore.

In this sense, the Apex-Brazil trade and investment promotion agency  , which seeks to promote products and services from Brazil to the world and attract investment, will be part of Latam Mobile Summ it, to be held in Silicon Valley on 28 January.

The conference will bring key players from Silicon Valley and the rest of the world to the most promising companies, startups and initiatives in Latin America.
