Lenovo y Google presentarán un nuevo dispositivo

Lenovo, Google, smartphone, Tango Project
Lenovo and Google

Lenovo and Google will put on the market a new device with the Tango Project, in collaboration with Google. This was announced in the last edition of the CES, last week.

The smartphone will be available in the middle of this year, with Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and turns the screen into a window, which can superimpose digital information with objects within the real world.

As announced in a statement, Lenovo, Google and Qualcomm Technologies are working together to optimize the software and hardware of the Tango Project platform.

The Google Tango Project is a technology that uses advanced computer vision, depth sensor and motion tracking to create 3D on-screen experiences, allowing users to explore their physical environments through their device.

Specialized software and hardware are combined to allow the device to react to each user’s movement, when they step forward, backward, or lie on one side. Application developers can transform their home to the level of a game, or create a magic window within virtual and augmented environments. Tango-enabled devices can recognize places they have been to before.

When using the sensor in the device, the devices with Project Tango can also capture the 3D dimensions of the room, offering measures that can be used to help you buy furniture or decorative items.
